Notion MCP

Official site ↗

What it does

Notion's hosted MCP server that lets AI tools search, read, create and update pages and databases you have access to in your Notion workspace.

Who it's for

Anyone keeping specs, notes or task lists in Notion who wants the AI to use them.

How to set it up

  1. Add the remote server. Claude Code (then run /mcp):

    bash
    claude mcp add --transport http notion https://mcp.notion.com/mcp
  2. Complete the OAuth flow to connect your workspace. Workspace members only; guests can't connect.

  3. If your client only supports local servers:

    json
    {
      "mcpServers": {
        "notion": {
          "command": "npx",
          "args": [
            "-y",
            "mcp-remote",
            "https://mcp.notion.com/mcp"
          ]
        }
      }
    }
