Firecrawl MCP Server

Firecrawl MCP Server official site ↗

Last checked against the official docs:

What it does

Firecrawl's official MCP server. It lets agents search the web, scrape pages into clean markdown or structured data, crawl and map sites, and interact with pages. There is a hosted endpoint and a local npx version, and it can point at a self-hosted Firecrawl. MIT licensed.

Who it's for

Vibe coders and researchers who need clean page content from many sites. The hosted keyless tier allows scrape, search and parse with rate limits; crawl, map and agent tools need a Firecrawl API key.

How to set it up

  1. Easiest: add the hosted server URL to your MCP client (keyless free tier, rate-limited):

    text
    https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp
  2. For the full tool set, sign in with OAuth at https://mcp.firecrawl.dev/v2/mcp-oauth, or keep the first URL and set an Authorization: Bearer header with your API key in the client's secret settings (never in the URL).

  3. Or run it locally with your API key:

    bash
    env FIRECRAWL_API_KEY=fc-YOUR_API_KEY npx -y firecrawl-mcp
